Appreciation ceremony (10th & 12th)
To rejoice the victory of std 10th and 12th students Huzurpaga School arranged a grand ceremony . The guest of honor President of MGE society Smt. Shalinitai Patil , Secretary of MGE society Smt. Rekhatai Palshikar and council members of MGE society Shri. Laxmikant Mundada , Shri. Ramankant Sonawani and Dr. Sunil Jagtap were present for the ceremony . The students were appreciated for their success by giving gifts and sweets .
Shree Geeta Prashn manjusha Competition
Shri Geeta Manjusha Manthan Competition has been held for the last 6 years since 2018 with the aim of making everyone aware of our ancient history, culture and traditions. During this silver jubilee program, however, the topics Ram-Krishna-Shiva-Bhagwati were taken and these four topics were divided into four groups. 15 students, citizens participated in each group. Anandi Jogdev as the questioner, Dr. Mansi Ranjanikar, Shyamala Barve watched the work. Students of Hujurpaga Girls' English medium school Katraj School and their parents from Sriram group won the first place.
Orientation
The School conducted orientation meeting for all the parents to brief them about the annual plan related to academics and co curricular activities . The school also invited Mrs. Aditi Deodhar who emphasized on the importance of plastic ban and how plastic harms our environment . We also inaugurated the compost pit which will convert the “Nirmalya” into nutrient rich fertilizer in the presence of the guest of honour. A session on ‘importance of mental health’ along with physical health was also conducted by the organization named “Manovikas” which guided the parents . We received a lot of positive feedback from the parents for this session.
E-PTA formation
The formation of a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in a school serves as a vital bridge between parents and educators, fostering collaboration to enhance the educational experience for students. In the same way the school conducted PTA formation by lottery method . This selection was done classwise wherein chits of different names of students were drawn out and the name of the PTA member was announced.

School reopening
On 15th of June the students were excited to come back to school after a refreshing summer break . They were welcomed by the Principal and teachers showering different colors of flowers and also various indoor and outdoor activities were conducted .

Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June every year and in order to inculcate the significance of “Yog” in its students and staff members Huzurpaga school organized a grand event for “Yoga day” celebrations.The students and teachers did Pranayama and Suryanamaskars to celebrate this day. The students were explained about the significance of Yoga for their health.
Inauguration of Robotics and Tinkering lab
In order to enhance students' knowledge and to promote practical learning, Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium school set up a brand new robotics and tinkering lab . Delegates of India Stem Foundation were invited for this program . This organization helped our school to set up this lab. All the set up of the tinkering lab was donated by Rockwell automation .
Ashadi Ekadashi
Ashadi Ekadashi is considered one of the most auspicious and spiritually significant day in the Hindu calendar. Here in Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium school we celebrated this occasion with great reverence . We conducted a procession of teachers and students who sang devotional songs , chanted various verses while walking . We also performed Pooja of the deities . This year our theme was “Vruksha dindi” . Geeta quiz competition was also held on the same day to increase knowledge of our students about Shrimadh Bhagwat Geeta.
Plant library
Devrai foundation gifted 105 saplings which were planted in our school premises . Later on the students were requested to bring pot earthen pots to plant these saplings . These saplings included various medicinal plants as well. In this way the school tried to integrate the lessons of botany and environmental science .The guest of honor on this occasion are Leena tai Mehendale, Smt. Priydarshini Purohit,Madhuri tai Bambhorikar, Smt. Suniti Utangale, Smt. Meena tai Vihite.
Gurupournima
Gurupournima is a significant festival in all religions celebrated on the full moon day in the month of “Ashadha” (June - July) . It is dedicated to express gratitude and reverence for one's spiritual guide , teacher or mentor . Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium School celebrated Guru pournima by offering prayers to Sage Vyas . We also showed a movie on this occasion .
Annabhau Sathe birth anniversary and Tilak death anniversary
In Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium School the teachers gave information on the lives of Annabhau Sathe and Lokmanya Tilak to emphasize on their contributions towards the nation with the help of powerpoint presentation . .
Nagpanchami Celebration
Nagpanchami promotos the respect and harmony with nature . The festival raises awareness about snake conservation . Huzurpaga celebrated this occasion by showing a video on the importance of conservation of snakes , information on different species of snakes and also conducted an activity on paper snake making . We also conducted a Mehndi competition on the same day .
Independence day
Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium School celebrated 78th Independence day enthusiastically. Our guest of honour Council members of MGE society Mr. Laxmikant Mundada sir , Dr. Sunil Jagtap sir, President of Pre Primary English Medium school Katraj delivered a speech to boost the moral of students . The speech was followed by certain performance by our primary and secondary students . The program came to an end with the performance of our pre primary students who sang the song “We shall overcome” .
On the occasion of Independence day , elocution competitions were conducted .
Rakshabandhan
On occasion of Rakshabandhan our students prepared Rakhi from waste material i.e. best from waste. As we celebrate this special day, let's not forget the importance of taking care of our planet as well. Our students tied rakhi to our watchman uncle as they guard us as our brother. Some of our students celebrate the rakshabandhan with soldiers of Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, khadki . We also felicitated our Watchmen uncle as a token of our love and respect as they guard as well as guide us from time to time .
Student council election
Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium School conducted the students council election to foster democracy and leadership . The students were given the opportunity to exercise their democratic right and elect their representatives. The election was conducted using the ballot method.
Kargil Vijay divas
Kargil Vijay Divas was celebrated in full valor in Huzurpaga Girls English Medium school . The students made handmade greetings on this occasion and those were sent to the soldiers by speed post.
Fancy dress competition
On the auspicious occasion of Dahi Handi, Huzurpaga Girls' English Medium School Katraj organized a colorful Fancy Dress Competition for children aged 3-8 years. The theme, 'Gokul', transported us to the enchanting land of Lord Krishna's childhood. The Gokul Fancy Dress Competition was a resounding success, with children and parents alike enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Dahi handi
Huzurpaga girls' English medium school Katraj celebrated Dahi handi in an innovative and eco-friendly way . The handi that was tied to the rope was filled with seeds in place of curd. We sowed the seeds of plants used during the festival in the school's surrounding Premises. We believe that this small step will make our students aware and responsible towards nature. On this occasion various activities like story telling competition and “Natyachchata” were conducted .
Poster competition
Huzurpaga Girls' English Medium School Katraj participated in Intra school poster competition organized by ,मराठी विज्ञान परिषद पुणे*
Two groups from our school participated in this competition . This competition was conducted in three stages. The feature of the competition was that 12 posters prepared by each group were to be presented at 5 different venues. And the last round was to be presented at the National Science Park, PCMC. Successfully passed all these rounds and became the winners of both groups of our division.

Teachers day
On September 5th, 2024, our school came together to celebrate the selfless dedication and unwavering commitment of our teachers. A small formal program was conducted which started with welcome by our respected Principal mam Smt. Kirti Pandit , followed by offering prayers to Dr. Sarvepalli RadhaKrishnan Then our student - teachers honored the teachers with flowers and gifts recognizing their hard work and dedication. Some Students played the role of a teacher on teacher's day. The students of std 10th , 11th and 12th were given the names of the teachers whose subject they would teach . Moreover that student disguised as teacher and the actual teacher herself had draped the same color sarees. The Teacher's Day celebration was a resounding success, filled with love, laughter, and appreciation.
Session by Damini Pathak
A session was conducted by Damini Pathak on awareness about girl child protection and how a girl child can safeguard herself while she faces the world.
Eco-Friendly Ganpati Celebration
Our school proclaims to celebrate Ganpati festival in an eco-friendly way. We believe in preserving our traditions while also protecting the environment. Our theme for decoration was Srushti vrushti and Manav. We used posters made by students for decoration of premises .Eco-Friendly Initiatives:
- Clay Seed Ganpati : We have made a clay Ganesha idol which had seeds in it .After immersion this clay was mixed with the soil in our farm so that it can be used for planting new trees.
For decorations also we have used natural materials like leaves, flowers and recycled materials for crafting.
Our students have actively participated in creating eco-friendly decorations, clay Ganesha, and organizing the celebration.
Session on menstrual hygiene
In order to educate the students about menstrual cycle , promote menstrual health and hygiene and also to eradicate myths surrounding the same , Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium School arranged a guest lecture for the same topic . The guest lecture was hosted by renowned gynecologist Dr Pallavi Sujit Jagtap .
Hindi Day celebration
Hindi Diwas was celebrated in Huzurpaga Girls English medium school on September 14 2024 to commemorate the adoption of Hindi as an official language. Special assembly was conducted in which students gave speeches to emphasize the importance of Hindi language .
Rangapanchami
Rangapanchami, a vibrant Hindu festival celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm, found its lively expression at Huzurpaga Girls' English Medium School. We celebrated rangapanchami with herbal colors which were made by our teachers in our school. The girls' enjoyed a lot celebrating with their teachers and friends.
Ice cream party
We had a super cool ice cream party at Huzurpaga Girls' English Medium School! It was a day filled with yummy treats and lots of fun.
Session for Students (std.9th and 11th)
A session was conducted for std 9th and11th students wherein the orator explained to the students that your attitude and confidence is more important than anything else. Your attitude towards a certain thing decides your capabilities and the way one can handle things.The orator also gave real life examples to explain his point.
Session for Students (std.12th)
A session was arranged for std 12 students wherein board examiners and moderators explained the students the ways to write and present the answer sheets in a proper way. They also explained the length or number of words in which the answer is expected to be written in.
Transport Service
On the auspicious occasion of “Maharashtra day” Huzurpaga Girls English Medium school and Jr College , Mangdewadi section announced about the most awaited “Transport service” for the students .
A meeting was held in the presence of M.G.E Society’s Vice President Smt. Himani tai, Council Member Mr. Laxmikant Mundada and Dr. Sunil Jagtap. Also the member of More Van service Smt. Vaishali More was present who gave area wise details,their charges etc.
Constitution Day
As well all know 26th November is observed as “Constitution Day” . This day is celebrated to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly. Huzurpaga Girls English Medium school and Jr. College , Katraj also celebrated this day with great enthusiasm . The whole school was decorated with tri color strings , flags etc. A formal program was arranged in which the importance of this day was told, followed by recitation of the constitution. The program ended with a formal speech by our Principal Smt Kirti Pandit madam and Smt. Dipti Kulkarni Madam.
Huzurpaga Krida Karandak
It was an inter school competition held by Maharashtra Girls' Education Society's for the first time. Many games were conducted, and our students and teachers participated in it. As in, our teachers won 2nd prize in dodgeball and throwball.
Annual social gathering
The Huzurpaga Girls English Medium school , Katraj hosted its annual social gathering on 15th December 2023 with a vibrant celebration centered around the theme of sports. The event aimed to promote unity, teamwork, and physical well-being among students while fostering a sense of community spirit. The theme of sports was intricately woven into every aspect of the gathering, from the decorations to the activities. The name of the theme was “ PERSEVERANCE – WITH DEDICATION COMES VICTORY” . Various cultural performances were performed by the students of various grades.
Christmas Day Celebration and Annual feast.
As per the tradition of Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School and Jr. College, Katraj a grand Christmas party was arranged on 22nd December 2023 . The theme for the party was pink or red and so all the students and teachers came dressed up according to the theme . Moreover various activities and games were arranged from which the students thoroughly enjoyed pottery ….making pots from clay(mud). The whole school premises flared in pink and red colours with pictures and charts of santas . One of our students from standard 9th dressed up as a santa and distributed gifts and chocolates to all the students. Along with Christmas party , annual feast was also arranged for the students . They all enjoyed the delicious spread of food .
Sports week.
Sports week was conducted in Huzurpaga School to enforce amongst the students the values like sportsmanship spirit , Agility , mental wellbeing etc. Various games were conducted throughout the week .
Grandparents Day and Bonfire
It is just a blessing to have our grandparents with us. On 12th January 2024 we celebrated “Grandparents Day” in a very unique way in our school. We started the program by welcoming them. Then some games were arranged for them. They were asked to do some drawing with their granddaughters. Later on we all went to the ground for a bonfire, all the grandparents made a big circle and started singing songs along with their granddaughters.
Makar Sankranti Celebration
Makar Sankranti, a harvest festival celebrated in various parts of India, marks the transition of the Sun into the zodiac sign of Capricorn (Makara). This festival was celebrated in Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School and Junior College , Katraj by decorating the premises with rangolis , flowers and other festive decorations. The students and staff were asked to dress up in a traditional attire to add to the festivities . Activities like story telling were conducted to imbibe the significance and cultural importance of this festival . Lastly , “tilgul” was distributed to the students .
Farewell
The school organized farewell for grade 10th and 12th . The girls looked very beautiful in sarees. The formal program started with welcome of all the students of std 10th and 12th . Later the authorities and the teachers motivated the students and gave their best wishes for the board exams. Few students expressed their views about the school and cherished their memories from the school years. Then the students were given few gifts as a token of love from the school . Last but not the least feast was also arranged for them.
Good Touch Bad Touch session
A session was arranged on good touch and bad touch in our school for girls' by Ashwini Pandit from Gravitas Foundation. She gave information about good touch and bad touch to girls', because of the need for women empowerment. With the help of examples.
Savitribai Phule Jayanti
We celebrated Savitribai Phule Jayanti on her birth anniversary. Our girl students came to the school in the getup of Savitribai Phule. They gave some information about Savitribai Phule in different languages. Our Principal Smt. Kriti Pandit gave a speech regarding this occasion.
Republic Day and Drawing Competition
Republic day was celebrated on 26th January 2024 in Huzurpaga School in a unique way. A formal program was arranged which started with a folk song followed by flag hoisting and recitation of National Anthem. The program ended by a speech by the guest of honour Smt Himanitai Gokhale After the formal program dry snacks were distributed to the students. A drawing competition was also arranged on the same day in which the students from other schools were also allowed to participate along with the students of our school . The drawing competition was followed by prize distribution ceremony .
Picnic
School picnic was arranged for the students of nursery to grade 12 to Derekar wada. After reaching there the students were first provided breakfast. After that all of them grooved on the beats of few songs. Later activities like bullock cart ride , tractor ride , zip line , boating were conducted . Then after students thoroughly enjoyed rain dance . After the rain dance they had their lunch and with that we started our return journey.
Bhakri Day
Bhakri day was celebrated in Huzurpaga School Mangdewadi. As it was to tell the importance of bhakri to the students . A story explaining nutritional value of millets was told to the students. Also students were told to get bhakri in their lunch box. To give real time experience to the students the school undertook the process of jowar from sowing seeds , to harvesting it and the whole process till we get the bhakri flour was explained .
Shivjayanti Celebration
Shivjayanti was celebrated in Huzurpaga School Mangdewadi branch with great pride. All the staff member were dressed in traditional attire . The program started with formal introduction followed by “powadas” sung by few students . These powadas filled a sense of courage ,bravery and patriotism in the atmosphere . This program served as a reminder to the students of their rich cultural heritage and the importance of courage, integrity, and leadership in shaping a better future.
School Exhibition
Teaching-aid exhibition “Resonance in Silence” was organized on 24th February 2024, Saturday which was based on physical, cognitive, language developments as well as learning through the games etc. Parents contribution was the important part during this exhibition.
Marathi Day
Marathi day was celebrated in Huzurpaga school on 27 February 2024 . The whole school premises was decorated with charts , banner and slogans depicting Maharashtra artistic and literary legacy. All the decorations were done using things of vibrant colors like orange , green and white which infused energy and enthusiasm in the atmosphere. Few cultural programs like dance performances and songs were there and the program ended with a song “Maharashtra Bhoomi ”.
Science Day
Science day was celebrated in Huzurpaga school to give a tribute to the Indian physicist Sir C.V Raman for his discovery of the Raman effect. The celebrations for this day were done by conducting a science fair. From robotics and electronics to environmental science and biotechnology, the science fair featured a diverse range of projects that demonstrated students' creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Prize Distribution
The school arranged for a prize distribution ceremony in order to congratulate the students who won different medals and prizes during various activities conducted during the sports week .
Children’s Day
Huzurpaga School celebrated childrens day in a virtual manner . The mother parents were asked to describe how they spend the whole day with their children . They were also asked to prepare videos and/or photos of the same and share it on their respective class whatsapp groups . Later all this data was beautifully compiled by our teacher and a video was prepared out of it
Deepotsav
Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School and Junior College decided to celebrate diwali in a unique way this year . A grand event was organised for diwali celebration . The whole building glittered with diyas and colourful lanterns. Cherry on the top was that the batch of 1973 named “Mogara Phulala” graced the occasion by their presence. The batch was welcomed by our students by performing the traditional dance form “Lezim” . We were lucky enough to have our honourable school committee members and teaching , non teaching staff of all sections of the institution. Moreover various activities were conducted with regard to diwali celebration like Lantern making , fort making , diya painting etc.
Medical Check Up
Health is a very important factor for students so every year the school organizes a Medical Health check up for our students. For the Academic Year 2023-2024 it was done on 31st October 2023(Tuesday). Dr. Sunil Jagtap from Saisneha Hospital, Dhankwadi and their team of Doctor’s visited the school and did the check-up of students. During this check-up they observed the Pulse Rate, Eyes, Tongue, and Teeth etc. of the students.
Doll’s Wedding
Doll’s wedding was a newly organized joyful and entertaining event by our school. This event was conducted on 20thOctober 2023(Friday) . Preparation for the doll's wedding was executed nicely by all our teachers. Our little girls wore nice traditional attire for the wedding. Students also brought their decorated dolls and some parts of ‘Rukhwat’. This Doll’s wedding event was happily completed by performing all the rituals like ‘Haladi ceremony’, ‘Mehendi Ceremony’ , ‘Sangeet Ceremony ‘. This event was enjoyed fully by all our students as well as teachers.
Navaratri Celebration
On 23rd October we celebrate khandenavami by decorating the school and offering flowers to books, instruments, tools and idols of god's, after that we continued the program by celebrating bhondla. This idol of elephant kept in the centre and was decorated with flowers and hence, it was worshipped by the school staff as well as the students. After that all the girl's held each other's hand and made the circle around the elephant and sang the bhondla's traditional songs such as 'Aad Bai aadori...' , 'Ek limbu jhelu Bai Don limbu jhelu'. After the song there was khirapat time which means a small treat for everyone. bhel was provided as khirapat.
Vachan Prerana Din
Vachan Prerana Din, also known as World Book Day, is an annual celebration that promotes the love of reading and the significance of books in our lives. It is an occasion to understand the power of literature and inspire students to discover the joy of reading. The Vachan Prerana Din celebration at Huzurpaga School, Mangdewadi Branch . This day is celebrated on the account of the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. We have shown an inspirational video on Dr. Kalam’s life to the students.
Bailpola Celebration
On this day we placed the idol of bulls in the corridor. And the Bulls were worshipped. After that we went to khopdevada and learned about the tradition of the bailpola and also saw how the Bulls were bathed, decorated and worshiped.
Huzurpaga Kala Karandak
M.G.E Society (Maharashtra Girls’ Education Society) organised ‘ Huzurpaga Kala Karandak’ Inter- school competition first time this year to provide exposure and platform for young kids. This competition got an overwhelming response. It was conducted in the month of September. Students from many schools had participated & showed their talent in various arts such as drama, music, etc. This competition was a huge success. All our little students performed really well.
Hindi Day
Huzurpaga school celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm . The students were told information about Hindi day . Few students sang songs in Hindi . The teachers then told story to the students in the same language . Posters and charts were also made by students . These things were displayed in the school corridor.
Ganpati Celebration
The month of September brings excitement in everyone’s minds as all are eagerly waiting to welcome “Lord Ganesha” to their home. In recent years there is a trend of celebrating this festival in an “Eco friendly” manner and to promote this idea and to inculcate this tradition in the minds of children Huzurpaga School conducted a Ganpati idol making workshop and art & craft activities. On 11th September 2023 few experienced artists were called who guided students how to make Ganpati Idols. This hands-on experience allowed students to express their creativity and learn about the craftsmanship involved. The idols created during the workshop were used for the school's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, further emphasizing the importance of traditions.
Bharat Vikas Parishad Singing Competition
Bharat Vikas Parishad organised a national Hindi and Sanskrit patriotic group singing competition. In this our school got a consolation prize for 6th to 10th std and on the same day "Bharat ko jano" quiz competition was conducted and we were crowned by 2 consolation prizes.
Dahi Handi Celebration
To promote cultural understanding and harmony, Huzurpaga school organized an event for Gokulashtami celebration in the school premises on 06th September 2023. The school premises were decorated with colorful rangoli, flower garlands, and images of Lord Krishna and Radha. Students formed teams and attempted to break a pot filled with curd, in accordance with the tradition associated with Lord Krishna's love for butter. Delicious “Gopalkala” was prepared with the items brought by the students and was distributed amongst them .
Sanskrit Day
Sanskrit, the ancient language of India, holds a unique place in our cultural and linguistic heritage. In order to understand the beauty and significance of Sanskrit, Huzurpaga School organized a grand celebration of Sanskrit Day. On 1st September 2023, the whole school premises were decorated with charts of Sanskrit “Shubhashitas” and “Shlokas”. The students of standard 8th to 10th were given the responsibility of decorating the school premises and accordingly they also arranged an information of Sanskrit language.
Dadasaheb Ekbote Sanskrit recitation Competition
Progressive education society arranged a competition named Dadasaheb Ekbote Sanskrit recitation competition. Here the students were divided in groups according to their standards. The students were required to recite various Sanskrit shlokas . The students from Std 6 th banged a prize in this competition.
Field Trip
All the students need a break from their exhausting schedule . They can grasp the concepts quickly with the help of visual learning experiences . So Huzurpaga school arranged a field trip for students to various locations . These locations were selected according to the age group of students .The locations decided for different standards were : Std 1 to 5 : Bhor Ambavde, Yamai Devi Std 6 to 8 : Hivre bazar and Ranjangaon Std 9 to 12 : Pali , Umerkhed, Unhere.
Rakshabandhan Celebration
Raksha Bandhan is a significant Indian festival celebrating the bond of love and protection between brothers and sisters, is an integral part of Indian culture and tradition. In Huzurpaga school, we consider it essential to promote cultural values and traditions among our students. To uphold this spirit, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in our school in a unique way. The students from std 6th to 9th were asked to make rakhis and those rakhis were then tied to the “Tai’s “and “kaka’s” who protect the students in a real sense. Cherry on the top was some of these rakhis that were tied to the soldiers from the “Paraplegic Centre, Khadki . It not only educated them but also encouraged them to respect and protect the relationships in their life.
Nagapanchami Celebration
On the occasion of “Nagpanchami” our school arranged mehndi competition for the students and parents on 21st August 2023. The competition was open to the students of all age groups. The students and parents enthusiastically participated in the event and showcased their artistic abilities. The parents drew beautiful designs on their daughter’s hands. The whole school premises was filled with the essence of henna.
Session For Parents
Our School had organised a parenting session on 19th August (Saturday)2023. The speaker Smt. Amruta Tikhe is a child counsellor. She started the session by narrating a story with gestures and voice modulations. She also conducted a song with actions for parents. She gave important guidance to all parents regarding parenting, child’s fine motor skills and how to handle them with love and care. Responses from parents were positive. They found this session helpful and got a handful of ideas regarding good parenting & the ways to spend quality time with their children.
Swami Vivekanand Vichar manch Intraschool Competition
A competition was arranged by Swami Vivekanand vichar manch . Here various competitions were arranged for different classes. Following were the feathers added to our crown : Questionnaire : First place :Aakansha Awtade , Shruti Chavan Natyachchata : second prize - Akansha Naik Literature reading : Consolation prize - Shruti Chavan , Arundhati Chavan , Kanika Kumbhar Sanskrit Subhashit Pathantar : First prize -Shreya Tope
Investiture Ceremony
An investiture ceremony is an formal event where student leaders are appointed to various positions of responsibility. Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School and Junior College conducted “Investiture (oath taking) ceremony” on 18th August 2023. The ceremony started with formal introduction of the chief guest Smt Rekha Palshikar and Smt. Varsha Gajendragadkar. During the ceremony the girls selected for the student council were officially assigned their positions of Captain, Vice-captain, Prefect and Vice prefect . These students were given slashes as a symbol for their roles. Smt. Rekha Palshikar encouraged the students to enhance their general knowledge.
Independence Day
15th August is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country . It is a day to remember the sacrifices made for freedom and to celebrate India’s progress as a nation. Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School also celebrated 15th August with great enthusiasm The program started with hoisting the flag followed by the national anthem. The program proceeded with a few patriotic songs. The program concluded with an encouraging speech by the guest of honour Mrs Himanitai Gokhale. On this occasion the school has conducted various art and craft activities and Poster making competition for students.
Glories of Freedom Fighters
The word “Freedom fighters” brings loads of emotions to us. Their dedication, hard work, sacrifice has brought all of us to the place where we are. To make the students aware about the contribution of our military, a session was organised at Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School and Junior College. The guest of honour for the session was Mr. Darshan Wagh . He told various short stories to explain about the “Glories of Freedom Fighters”. He also provided some information on institutions who train people for becoming Army/Navy/Air force personnel. Towards the end of the session he also solved the doubts of all the students.
Kranti Diwas
Kranti Divas was celebrated at our School. A special program was arranged for the students. In the program a video was shown to make the students understand the importance of the national anthem and also the meaning of each paraphrase. After the video a small questionnaire was asked to the students which contained questions related to the National anthem. Then a question answer session was organised wherein the teachers answered all the queries of the students.
Elocution Competition
An elocution competition was conducted on the birth anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak . Topics were distributed to the students according to their standards. This competition was conducted in their respective classrooms.
English Marathon Prize Distribution
We arranged a Marathon competition in our school from Std 1st to 9th. Examination was conducted in different centers and it was MCQ based. Some students got certificates and medals for merit and some got only certificates for participation.
Session for students by Damini Pathak
A session on awareness about child abuse was conducted in Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School on 20th July 2023.The guest of honour was Sachin Karanjule [ Councellar of Hope of the Children Foundation ] and Jyoti Godse and Ashwini Pawar ma’am of “ Damini Pathak”. Counselling of the students was done by Sachin Karanjule sir about child abuse and changes that happen in boys and girls during puberty stage. Towards the end of the session a Question- answer session was conducted where Sachin Karanjule sir answered various questions.
School Election
School elections are a fundamental aspect of the democratic culture at Huzurpaga School , offering students an opportunity to engage in the decision-making processes of their institution. These elections, held on 13th July 2023 , aimed to select student representatives for a range of positions, including Captain , Vice-captain , Prefect and Vice prefect. The school election process was structured to ensure transparency and fairness. The election process was carried out in accordance with the school's election guidelines and regulations.
Shri. Geeta Manjusha Manthan Competition
The students of Huzurpaga school participated in Sanskrit shlokas quiz competition . This competition was named as Shree Geeta manjusha manthan. The 9th and 10 th standard students participated in this competition and they were asked to recite the 15 th Adhyaya (Chapter). Our students secured 3rd prize in it
Session for Teachers
An innovative session for teachers was conducted at Huzurpaga , Laxmi road by Mrs Prajakta Kulkarni . Here the teachers were taught innovative ways to make language related lessons more interesting and easy for the students.
Appreciation Ceremony
A grand ceremony was arranged in Huzurpaga School to appreciate the 10th Std students of 2022-2023 batch. The guests of honour for this celebration were Smt. Rekha Palshikar, Smt. Himanitai Gokhale, and Smt. Varshatai Gajendragadkar. The students were felicitated for their success by the guests of honour. Some students shared their thoughts about the school and their teachers. The guests showered their blessings and congratulated the students through their speech. At the end of the program refreshment was arranged for the teachers and students. The students also planted some trees to celebrate environmental day.
Teachers Day
Teachers' Day is a special occasion celebrated in schools across the world to honour and appreciate the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the future of students. At Huzurpaga school, Teachers' Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and gratitude. Moreover students of std 5th 9th, 10th observed the role of the Principal , Supervisor , Teachers , non – teaching and helping staff as well. The student – teacher also undertook periods according to the timetable provided . The students also conducted a special program wherein they felicitated all the teachers including the supervisor . They also sang songs to express their love for the teachers.
Gurupournima Celebration
Gurupournima was celebrated in Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School on 30th June 2023. Teachers gave the information about Gurupournima and narrated a story.The storytelling was followed by giving a tribute to Maharshi Vyas. The students of Std 7 also told two stories on Gurupournima . The program ended the vote of thanks.
Palakhi Celebration
Ashadi Ekadashi is a significant religious festival celebrated in Maharashtra , India and typically involves various cultural and spiritual events. At Huzurpaga school students and staff members actively participated in the festivities. The school premises was beautifully decorated with charts of Lord Vitthal, various musical instruments like Taal and Mridang and also with flower garlands and rangoli designs.

Yoga Day
As we all know that International Yoga day is celebrated on 21st June every year. Various schools celebrate this day in order to explain the students, importance of “Yoga” in our lives. In order to inculcate the significance of “Yoga” in its students and staff members Huzurpaga School organised a grand event for “Yoga day” celebrations. The celebrations went on for a week. Various types of Yoga were being taught to the students during this week .It started with “Meditation sessions”, session for “Pranayam , Session for “Suryanamaskars” etc. . Skilled instructors were called for each of these sessions who taught the students as well as the teacher to do “Yogasanas” in a proper way.
Cleanliness Activity
Cleanliness activity is conducted in Huzurpaga Girls English Medium School and Junior College on the last day of every month. Students are explained about the importance of cleanliness. They are encouraged to clean their classrooms and the school area so that they inculcate the habit of keeping things clean. The students also decorate the school premises by charts, wall hangings and different decorative articles. The primary objective of this cleanliness activity was to create a sense of responsibility among students regarding the cleanliness of their school and surroundings
First Day Of School
After a refreshing summer break, the students of Huzurpaga were welcomed with a big bash. While the children were entering the school premises various songs were played on the tunes of which the students danced. In the classes various activities were conducted. These activities were given back home as a token from the school and the teachers. The students were taken on a round to show them their new premises.

हुजूरपागा शाळेच्या सर्व शिक्षिकांचे मनापासून खूप खूप आभार. आपण या कोरुना काळात सुद्धा आमच्या मुलींना चांगल्या प्रकारे शिक्षण दिले गेले. मी गेले वर्षभर मुलीचा क्लास पाहत आहे. दररोज न चुकता ठरलेल्या वेळेप्रमाणे आपण सर्वजण मुलींचे क्लास घेतले . नुस्ते क्लास न घेता खूप चांगल्या प्रकारे आपण त्यांच्या प्रश्नांची उत्तर आपण देता. एखाद्या विद्यार्थ्यानीला एखादी गोष्ट समजत नसेल तरी परत परत ते समजून सांगत होता . कारण मी माझ्या मुलीच्या कडेला बसून बऱ्याच वेळा क्लास पाहिलेला आहे, ऐकलेला आहे. त्यामुळे आपल्या सर्वांचे खरोखर मनापासून आभार.
आपण खूप चांगल्या प्रकारे त्यांच्या शंकांचं निरसन करत होता, खूप छान समजून सांगत होता व वेग वेगळे घेतलेले उपक्रम खुप प्रेरणादायी होते. आमच्या मुलीच्या वर्गशिक्षिका,मुख्यध्यापिका,संगीत,चित्रकला, गणित, विज्ञान, मराठी, या विषयांच्या सर्व शिक्षकांचे खुप खुप आभार.

Due to the Pandemic situation, children adopted a new mode of learning (online classes), teachers made it happen without any major issues. There was very little difference online. Well, I am very grateful to this idea of online classes. As my daughter is studying in Std. III class. So, it is a very crucial time for her.
